From behind her thick glossy bangs, Shanna Denha looks up and laughs.
In regards to her future career after graduation she is unsure, but is looking into the world of advertising. "I'd like to do something with an advertsing company." She says.
Dehna is a 26 year old journalism major at Oakland University and when she is not at school or working at Roma Sposa bridal in Birmingham she enjoys reading. "Right now I'm just reading the Great Gatsby." she says. "It's really an amazing book." I comment on how surprised I am that she had not read it before. "Well I never got the chance to read it in high school." She admits.
"Being 26 in the suburban Detroit area, how different can it be than being 21?" I ask, as the wonders of being 21 have not yet faded from my life as a college student.
"Well I like going out with my friends." Dehna responds, "But i'm so past the whole clubbing scene."
The hot spot for chic women like Dehna in their mid twenties is aparently upscale martini bars in cities such as Birmingham including Blue Martini, the Corner and Forte.
Dehna has spent all of her life living in West Bloomfield Michigan, however she has future plans to tour Europe. "I don't speak any second languages." She admits. "But I think I could get around."
Dehna will be graduating in June, 2006 and looking forward to a bright future, wherever it may take her.
